Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown – Improving weapons and amulets
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is not the most difficult game in the world, but there are a few enemies that will challenge you and not every fight is equally difficult. The boss battles in particular can be quite challenging. Fortunately, you can make things a little easier for yourself by upgrading your weapons and amulets to give you a small advantage.
To do this, you must first find a certain NPC called Kaheva. The nice woman with the flaming hair and the fat hammer will be happy to help you.

To improve your weapons, you need to unlock the NPC Kahvea in The Haven. You will find this location automatically after you have played the main story of the game far enough and will then also unlock the forge there. So you'll have to invest a few hours before you can improve your weapons and amulets, but it would be boring if this were possible right from the start.
Once you have unlocked the forge with Kaheva, you can improve your weapons and amulets there in exchange for time crystals. Weapons also require Azure Damask ingots, which are quite rare and can usually be found in or around the game's main path. Upgrading your weapons usually only increases the damage slightly.
Amulets, on the other hand, require Xerxes for advanced upgrades, another rare resource in the game. Xerxes can be earned through particularly challenging platform sequences or side quests and can not only be used to upgrade amulets, but also as currency from another NPC called Scrapper.
Will you give the new 2D Prince of Persia a chance? We can only recommend the game to you, because even if the change of perspective seems like a step backwards at first glance, The Lost Crown is a damn good game that is really fun to play. Here's a little free tip: If you have a Steam Deck and install Ubisoft Connect on it, The Lost Crown is a perfect game for travelling.
