CoD: BO 6 - The devs' plans for the latest update
The latest update to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 should lead to better and easier handling of most weapons as well as more damage from headshots.
The latest update to CoD: BO 6 is finally here and brings some interesting changes to certain aspects of the game, mainly relating to precision aiming and the damage that can be dealt.
With these new changes, Treyarch is ensuring that players will find it easier to aim accurately in BO6 and deal more damage with well-placed headshots thanks to less recoil and less sway in the weapon barrel.
The developers' idea
The patch note from the developers states:“We have undertaken a major overhaul of weapon movement and reduced it across all categories to improve the combat experience. Depending on the class and weapon, our targets for these reductions are between 30% and 75%. Players will notice significantly more stability when turning, moving, changing stances and shooting, especially when aiming with the ADS sights.”
With these improvements, the developers not only want to improve the shooting, they also want to reward good gameplay and retain the unique characteristics of each weapon despite all the changes.
Less movement of the barrel, more lethal headshots
The movement of the barrel is an important part of the changes that happen in the course of the update. According to Treyarch, these are now improved and equalised across all categories and weapon classes, so that the delay for all weapons is 2.2 seconds.
It should be noted that sniper rifles only reduced the initial roll effect by half before the update. Now there is a complete reduction. The developers emphasised that they „Always keep an eye on the balance of the snipers“ were.
