Dragon Ball Sparking Zero patch notes, gameplay adjustments and new mode
With Dragon Ball Sparking Zero's latest DLC, the game also receives some gameplay adjustments as well as a completely new game mode.
New Legendary Warrior Face-Off mode
For a limited time, players will get a new game mode called Legendary Warrior Face-Off, in which they will have to fight extremely strong opponents like Broly, which should make for a challenging but rewarding series of battles.

Below you will find the full patch notes for the latest update of Dragon Ball Zero Sparking.
Game mode customisation
Legendary Warrior Face-Off (New): This mode, where you can face off against an extremely powerful character, has been added for a limited time. (This mode cannot be selected outside of this period).
Episode battle: It is now possible to change the difficulty level even when using a dragon crystal.
Individual battle: More situations, effects and texts have been added that you can set.
Player search:
‐ At the Quick search match you no longer enter a room, but are connected directly to an opponent.
‐ We also have the function „Quick room search“ added for the quick search match.
Ranked match: Added a waiting time before matchmaking starts as a penalty based on the number of disconnections.
Combat settings: You can now view the control explanation when you select a character.
Formation : The option „Blocking after attacks“ has been added when playing against a CPU.
Combat system adjustments
Charged attacks (smash attack or rush combination): While charging, you will no longer be knocked back in Sparking! mode if you are hit by an opponent's Rush Attack or Rush Ki Beam.
Rush attack: It is now more difficult to accidentally enter a Smash attack during a Rush attack.
Grand Slash : If an opponent who falls from a Grand Slash is hit with another Grand Slash, he is now flung away in a spinning motion.
Rush-Ki-Beam: It is no longer possible to perform a high-speed dodge whilst being hit.
Smash-Ki-Beam: It is now easier to hit you if you fire a shot while moving.
Perception/super-perception:
- A certain amount of Ki is now consumed during activation.
- Once the action has been completed, the time until the next executable action has been increased.
Super counter attack: The time until the next possible entry was extended after an unsuccessful attempt at the move.
Impact of speed : Der Zeitpunkt, an dem erneut eine Eingabe möglich ist, wurde nach Abschluss des Moves verzögert.
Chase Change: The damage of giant characters has been reduced when switching into them during the chase change.
Impact recovery:
- If you want to be Lift Strike If you are thrown back, holding down the button activates the impact recovery as soon as you touch the ground.
- Even if you are thrown back and spun, holding down the button activates the impact recovery as soon as you touch the ground.
Skill customisations
Automatic evasion skills (e.g. Wild Sense): Opponents can no longer use these abilities if they perform a combo and follow it up with a rush-in.
Wild Sense: The attack damage has been reduced.
Kaioken: The consumption of the number of abilities has been reduced (only for Goku (Z - Early)).
Ta-dah!: The consumption of the number of skills has been reduced.
All I Need Is Five Seconds!: The Ki is completely restored.
Other:
User-friendliness and performance stability have been improved.
