EA FC 25: The 10 strongest playstyles
Playstyle is one of the key factors for a successful career in EA FC 25 - so let's take a look at the best play styles in the game.
Playstyles play a decisive role in EA FC 25. Alongside the classic attributes, they are one of the most important factors when it comes to how good a player really is. So if you want to strengthen your team in a targeted manner, you should definitely pay attention to the right playstyles. To make your decision easier, we show you the ten best playstyles currently available in EA FC 25.
10. In the air
The playstyle „In the air“ offers both attackers and defenders great advantages in header duels. Players with this style jump higher and have an easier time getting through to their opponents - whether in the penalty area for corners or long balls.
9. Power shot
FIFA 23 introduced the power shot - an extremely hard shot that is triggered by pressing L1 and R1 simultaneously. In EA FC 24, the power shot playstyle has made the whole thing even more effective: the shot animation is now shorter, so defenders have less time to block. Ideal for players with a strong finish.
8. Decisive pass
This playstyle ensures that your players can play more precise and faster flat passes - without the team-mate having problems receiving the ball. Perfect for creative playmakers in midfield who recognise gaps and want to exploit them immediately.
7. Block
The block playstyle is extremely valuable, especially in a meta where many people rely on finesse shots. It increases the range of your defenders when blocking and makes it much more difficult for opponents to find free shooting lanes.
6. Frenzy
This playstyle gives your forwards a real speed boost. Not only are they faster when sprint dribbling, they also make fewer mistakes when carrying the ball or knock-ons. Particularly effective on the wings or during quick counter-attacks.
5. Technology
The technical playstyle is the secret weapon for dribbling ZOMs. It really comes into its own in tight R1 dribbling and makes it extremely difficult for the defence to win the ball. Anyone who likes to pass close to the opponent will love this style.
4. Quick step
Just outside the top 3, the quick step playstyle comes in at number 4, improving your player's acceleration during explosive runs - without losing control of the ball. Ideal for dynamic outfield players or attacking centre midfielders.
3. Next Pass
The entry into the top 3: The wide passing playstyle is made for defensive midfielders. It enables precise transfers over long distances - with impressive speed and accuracy. Ideal for controlling the tempo of the game and opening up spaces.
2. Anticipation
In second place is a playstyle that helps defenders and defensive midfielders in particular: anticipation. With this ability, your players read the opponent's passes earlier and are quicker on the ball. A game changer in the defensive area.
1. Trimmed shot
Number 1 in our list: the cut shot playstyle. Anyone who likes to take finesse shots from a distance will get their money's worth here. The shots have more spin, more speed and land in the corner more often - a real must-have for attacking players.
