EA FC 26: How to turn every shot into a goal
Whether it’s a finesse, low-driven, or flat shot – in EA FC 26, choosing the right shooting technique is still crucial. Here’s where you’ll learn which type of shot works best in which situation – and how to significantly increase your conversion rate.
Low Driven Shot: Fast, Hard, Precise
The low-driven shot is particularly effective when you want to place the ball precisely into the corner.
- Perform it by tapping the shoot button twice.
- Aim for the far post – goalkeepers are most vulnerable there.
- Use 1.5 to 2.5 power bars – and make sure not to double-tap too quickly so the shot has enough power.
- Players with the Low Driven Playstyle benefit from more accuracy and power.
- Variations such as the Low Driven Finesse Shot (hold R1/RB) further increase precision and curve.
- For long-range attempts, try the Power Low Driven Shot (L1+R1 held) – ideal when time is short.
Finesse Shots: Elegance Meets Efficiency
The finesse shot remains one of the most reliable techniques in EA FC 26 – especially for difficult angles inside the box.
- Hold R1/RB and charge 2 to 3 power bars.
- Always aim for the far post.
- Players with the Finesse Shot Playstyle score even more precisely and accurately.
Shooting Settings: Precision Makes the Difference
To score efficiently, you need to aim precisely.
- Activate the “Precision” option to manually place every shot – ideal for experienced players.
- It requires some practice, but the extra control over ball direction is worth it.
- Beginners can choose the “Assisted” option – easier to control, but less effective.
First-Touch Shots: Finish Instantly
In FC 26, first-touch shots have become much more dangerous again.
- Charge 1.5 to 2.5 power bars as the ball approaches.
- Only use them inside the box – that’s how you’ll score spectacular goals in motion.
One-on-One: Dribble Instead of Shooting
In a duel with the goalkeeper, sometimes a trick works better than a shot.
- Hold R1/RB and move the left stick to fake out the keeper.
- Ball rolls are once again especially effective in this scenario.
Long Shots: Goals from Distance
You can also be dangerous from range – with the right technique.
- Charge 2 to 3 power bars and aim for the far post.
- Only players with the Finesse Shot Playstyle can consistently score such shots.
- The closer you are to the box, the higher your chance of scoring.
Technique for the Decisive Goal
Finding the gap, reacting in time, and shooting precisely all sound great – but what if your graphics are so poor that you can’t even tell whether you’re looking at the ball or a player’s head? Or if the game runs so sluggishly that every button press happens after halftime?
What helps in that case: the right PC. For example, the AMD Ryzen 5 5500 – a system that convinces with solid specs:
- 6x3.60GHz
- 16GB DDR4
- RX 7600 8GB
- 500GB M.2 SSD
