Elden Ring Nightreign: Released, platforms and co-operative
For veterans and newcomers: This DLC is a breath of fresh air for all those who want to face the darkness again.
You've already explored every last corner of Elden Ring, defeated Margit and hunted down Godrick - but are you still itching for new challenges? Then Nightreign exactly what you need. This new chapter not only brings fresh adventures, but also thrilling co-op fun.
A new chapter in Limveld
With Elden Ring: Nightreign, FromSoftware is expanding the world of the game with a co-operative multiplayer mode. The release is planned for 30 May - available on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series S/X as well as PC. The focus: fast, dynamic gameplay and a seamless co-operative mode.
Co-op mode: Defy the darkness together
Nightreign offers two modes: classic solo gameplay or a co-operative mode for three players. A two-player mode is not planned for launch, but FromSoftware has indicated that it will be added if there is sufficient feedback. So either you convince two friends to suffer with you - or use matchmaking to complete your trio.
Speed and tactics are required
The gameplay is faster, more challenging - and changes with every session. An ever-growing threat forces you to constantly adapt. The world regenerates with every run, making each game unique. Roguelike elements meet teamwork: a fresh approach that will delight newcomers and old hands alike.
Character development in every session
Your adventure in Limveld starts from scratch - your hero starts at level 1. Time is precious: use the day to defeat enemies, collect valuable loot, find runes, upgrade armour and conquer fortresses. Progress within a session is crucial.
Prefabricated heroes, individual play styles
There are several unique characters to choose from at the start - each with their own background, play style and special abilities. The Guardian, for example, acts as a tanking front-line fighter, the Hermit is a master of area spells and debuff effects, while the Countess scores with stealth and speed. There is no custom character creation - but there is something for every play style.
Tips for beginners and veterans
Your starting point is the round table fortress, the headquarters of the „Nightwalker“. There you can prepare yourself, read up on game mechanics, switch between heroes and take part in practice battles. On the training ground, you will get to know your hero's weapons and abilities better - ideal for familiarising yourself with the combat system.
Important: There is no integrated voice chat. Therefore, use tools such as Discord to communicate with your team - but you probably already have that open anyway.
