Fortnite x Nike Jordan: About the collaboration and new cosmetics
As Epic Games itself has now confirmed following various leaks, Fortnite will soon be updated with "Kicks". A new cosmetic feature with which you can put new shoes on your characters. And the first ones could come directly from Nike.
The developer constantly provides Fortnite fans with new content and collaborations and gives players numerous cosmetics options to enhance skins, gliders, emotes, weapons and much, much more with cosmetics.
It has now been announced that the "Kicks" cosmetic feature will offer players the opportunity to customise their kicks - and what better partner than Nike?
Publication date
As well-known leakers had already suspected, the new cosmetics system will be launched at the start of the Chapter 2 Remix Season, on 12 November to be precise. This was an obvious choice, as there will probably be three major updates in the course of the Remix Season before the game enters its 6th chapter. It had already been assumed that the launch of Kicks would take place somewhere between these two events, but we now know for certain that this will be the case relatively early on.Contents
Since Epic Games has not yet commented on the full range of the first shoe skins, players will have to rely on rumours that the collaboration with Nike will not be limited to this, but will also offer players a variety of possible shoes. These include the Jordan 1s, Jordan 4s and the Nike Corteiz. This is not the first collaboration with Nike, as we have already had various Nike bundles that included an Air Maxx glider.
New shoe cosmetic In addition, what leakers had already criticised has been confirmed, as "kicks" will be able to be combined with a variety of skins, but there are still restrictions, so that certain shoes cannot be combined with certain extensions that have been released as part of other partnerships.
At the very least, Epic Games announced that "Kicks" will initially be combinable with over 500 of the most popular skins from Fortnite and that they are working hard to ensure that at least 95% are covered by the middle of next year.
As not all information comes from the developers themselves or has been confirmed, assumptions and rumours should, as always, be taken with a pinch of salt. Because even if a lot of what was previously surmised ended up being true, it is ultimately advisable to wait until Epic Games itself announces more on the subject of "Kicks".
