GTA 5 finally gets the next-gen update for PC after three years
The update for the PC version of GTA 5 offers important improvements and new features for both single players and online mode.
Important improvements for GTA 5 on the PC
The PC upgrade for GTA 5 has been long awaited and now finally brings exactly the improvements that were previously only available on console versions. Included are ray tracing, DLSS 3 and FSR 3.0 for better graphics and performance. Faster loading times via DirectStorage ensure a smoother gaming experience - although this is also associated with higher system requirements.
GTA Online also receives new content with the update. Vehicles that were previously only available on consoles can now be used and the career progression menu has also been redesigned. In addition to the return of animals to the game, the online mode will also receive additional missions and a new base of operations.
Transfer score
To keep your game progress, you must transfer your save manually. To do this, go to the game menu and select the option “Save Uploaed” and send your progress to Rockstar's server. After installing the new version, simply download this savegame again.
Please note, however, that this is a one-time transfer from which there is no return.
Multiplayers should also note that the new version does not allow cross-play with the older version.
