GTA 6: A portrait of the most important characters

The new trailer for GTA 6 is finally here - high time to take a closer look at the previously known characters and their roles in the game.

After years of rumours, leaks and speculation, Rockstar Games finally released the official trailer for GTA 6 on 6 May 2025. This not only offers first impressions of Vice City and the state of Leonida, but also introduces the main characters and some important supporting characters. Here is an overview of all the characters known so far:

Lucia Caminos

Lucia is the first female main character in the history of the GTA series. The trailer shows how she has just been released from prison in Leonida - sentenced for protecting her family. Her father taught her to fight back at an early age. After moving the family from Liberty City to Leonida, Lucia now searches for a new path together with Jason - determined to change her life.

Jason Duval

Jason is a former soldier who keeps his head above water after his service in the Leonida Keys by doing small jobs, often on behalf of local drug lords. His strongest motivation is his love for Lucia. They want to start over together. Their close bond is very different from previous GTA protagonists - but it could also be their greatest strength and weakness.

Other important figures

Cal Hampton

A loner conspiracy theorist with possible insider knowledge of the criminal structures in Vice City. Cal could play a key role in covert operations and clandestine networks.

Boobie Ike

From petty criminal to successful businessman - Boobie now owns nightclubs, property and a recording studio. Together with his partner Dre'Quan, he is planning his own music empire.

Dre'Quan Priest

An ambitious music producer with close ties to the underworld. He could be both a valuable ally and a dangerous opponent.

Real Dimez (Bae-Luxe & Roxy)

A rap duo with a criminal past that is now taking off in the music business. Their story brings cultural depth and a new dynamic to Vice City.

Raul Bautista

An experienced bank robber who could act as a mentor or rival for the main duo. He is likely to play a central role in spectacular robberies and dangerous missions.

Brian Heder

An elderly drug smuggler and Jason's landlord. His connections to the underworld could draw Jason deeper into the city's criminal milieu.

The world of GTA 6: Vice City & Leonida

The plot of GTA 6 is set in Vice City - a fictionalised version of Miami - and in the state of Leonida, which is very similar to Florida. This open, dynamic world is the ideal setting for Lucia and Jason's criminal escapades - with plenty of room for chaos, thrills and spectacular coups.
