GTA trilogy receives much-needed update

After previously facing harsh criticism, an update has turned the GTA trilogy into a package that will win over fans.

A disappointing bundle

If you wanted to immerse yourself in the world of the classic GTA games from scratch or recapture it for yourself, the GTA Trilogy: Definitive Edition was not necessarily the best choice. Although the bundle contains GTA 3, GTA San Andras and GTA Vice City, the promised improvements to the classics were rather modest.

The set has so far disappointed fans due to many - mainly visual - flaws, such as a strange lighting concept, old-fashioned textures and various minor inconsistencies.

However, there is now an update for PlayStation, Xbox, Switch and PC that significantly improves the flawed versions.

An update that pays off

The patch mainly contains a classic lighting mode and fixes major bugs in the game. In addition to this, animations such as the way running is displayed have been improved and effects such as fog, fire and rain now look much more impressive.

More detailed textures and additional refinements, such as an improved swimming speed for characters or the ability to fire certain weapons while running again, round off the update, so that the GTA trilogy is now much more in line with what fans of the series had expected.

CoD: Black Ops 6 receives huge update

Only the Switch update still leaves a little to be desired, although there are already rumours as to whether the upcoming, more powerful Switch 2 will not receive a version that can compete with the others.

Especially because other, portable versions of the game, the ones for iOs and Android, seem to run better than the Nintendo console.
