PlayStation Plus: free games in October 2024

Every month, Sony offers PlayStation Plus subscribers free games in three categories. The Essential tier, which is aimed at price-conscious gamers, offers a selection of three to four games for a limited time.

Once you secure a game from the Essential tier, it becomes a permanent part of your library and can be played at any time, depending on your PS Plus subscription status. The collection of Extra and Premium games will continue to grow and new titles will be added regularly. But what will it look like in October 2024?

PlayStation Plus in October 2024: All free games

As is tradition, PS Plus subscribers can expect some new games to download and play next month. And here is the selection for PS Plus Essential in October:

WWE 2K24 – PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5

WWE 2K24 offers everything you'd expect from a WWE game, but as a celebration of the last 40 years, it also lets you relive the greatest moments from the sport's history. Take part in some of wrestling's most memorable matches and play as legends such as Steve Austin, the Undertaker, Andre the Giant and many more.

Dead Space – PlayStation 5

The sci-fi survival horror classic was recently re-released, and now PS Plus subscribers get the game for free. Return to the USG Ishimura as Isaac Clarke and find out what went so terribly wrong. This is the must-have game of the month.

Doki Doki Literature Club Plus! – PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5

At first glance, Doki Doki Literature Club is a cosy game where you join a book club as the main character and search for love. Writing poems, getting to know the girls, that's all well and good - but behind this façade lies a horror game in a class of its own, and if you're easily disturbed, you should probably skip this totel...

When can I download the games?

You can download PS Plus games for October 2024 from 1 October 2024. This has been officially confirmed by Sony, so make sure you have enough free storage space to secure your free games!
