Baldur's Gate 3 mod enables real-time combat
Turn-based combat is an important part of Baldur’s Gate, but some players would like a more traditional way of getting rid of their opponents. Now they can, thanks to a new mod.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is certainly a fantastic game, but the turn-based combat style isn't to everyone's taste - and now we're just trying not to judge it! If you have a resistance to stress, the real-time mode may help if you like the fast pace.
Real-time battles in Baldur’s Gate 3: This mod makes it possible
Since Larian opened up its mod toolbox with patch 7, the possibilities seem endless. Not only can we make tons of cosmetic changes or traverse the arid regions of Avernus, but we can also experience real-time combat thanks to a tinybike mod.
You will find the mod here, but what exactly does it change and what does the pleasure look like?
This mod enables real-time combat where the action is not interrupted. As you'd expect in real-time combat, the character is constantly moving, attacking and repositioning. They can also heal themselves, even if they are hit by an arrow at the same time.
Those who imagined this in Baldur’s Gate 3 is hard to imagine, should look into this matter. Demonstration inside.
While the fighting is a little slow in the original, it's quite the opposite here. And in the preview video, we only see one player character - and now imagine how stressful it is to play with four characters at once and have to juggle them against a double-digit horde at the best of times.
Even though the mod's combat mechanics as a whole are still pretty unbalanced and a bit weird, this mod is an incredible achievement and part of the game's replay value. Modder tinybike is still working on it, and I'm sure it will be an amazing mod that can open doors for players who have been put off by the game's combat system.
If we can find a happy medium between the struggles “in real time” without being completely overwhelming and almost impossible to manage. But those who want to immerse themselves in a brand new Baldur’s Gate 3-Just take a look at this frenetic mode!
