R.E.P.O. - how to defeat every level 3 monster part 2

REPO_so_besiegt_ihr_jedes_Level_3_Monster_Teil_12
In R.E.P.O., there are plenty of monsters waiting for you - each of which has its own unique way of neutralising you. That's why we've put together a list of how to overcome the second half of all monsters on level 3.

R.E.P.O., an online co-op horror game in which you and up to five other players search for objects to sell. But there are some monsters standing between you and the treasures. If you don't manage to reach the required quota, you have to start from scratch.

You only have the Voice chat with proximity function, to find yourself in these halls populated by deadly monsters... But how do you even survive?

We take a look at the second half of the monsters at level 3 and look at how to defeat them.

Reaper

The Reaper is a level 3 threat and takes the sinister form of a scarecrow-like figure with blades on its arms and a tattered pink dress.

It roams aimlessly through the level until it spots a player - then it immediately pounces on its target and flails its arms wildly, knocking everything out of its way - including objects that players are holding.

Fortunately the Reaper has a short attention span:
If you quickly break the line of sight, it often loses interest and gives up the chase.

Be careful with confrontations:
As the Reaper tends to knock weapons or valuables out of players' hands during its attacks, direct combat is risky.

If you need to attack him or get close to him, it is safest to approach from behind while he is distracted or moving in a different direction.

Clown

The Clown is a monster known for its thunderous footsteps as it roams the area.

As soon as it spots a player, it fires a laser beam and then goes on the attack with a powerful kick.

Dodge laser and kick:

  • If you stand, while it is charging its laser, you can squat, to dive under the beam.

  • If you already squatting are, you can quickly getJump Escape the laser.

  • The same applies to his subsequent kick:
With well-timed jumps, you can completely evade the attack.

Counter strategies:

  • The clown cannot be stunned by all object sizes, but it is relatively easy to defeat with good positioning and precise throws.

  • Correctly timed hits with valuables during his recovery phases effectively weaken him.

  • For a safer takedown, use heavy or stun-capable objects to briefly incapacitate him before moving in closer.

Trudge

The Huntsman is an opponent who resembles a blind man and uses a rifle as both a walking stick and a deadly weapon.

It relies entirely on sound to locate its targets.

If it hears a noise - be it from a player or a dropped object - it immediately fires in the corresponding direction.

A direct hit causes 100 damage and immediately paralyses the player.

The Trudge is a monster that stands out due to its slow, lumbering movement and huge stature.

As soon as it spots a player, it emits a characteristic noise to alert its target and then begins to stomp heavily towards it.

The closer it gets, the more likely it is to launch a powerful attack that attracts everything within range.

In addition, the Trudge can target players hiding under tables or behind cover with its skull - each hit causes50 damage points.

with 500 Life points the Trudge is a particularly tough opponent and resistant to many typical stun items.

Effective tactics:

  • Clown object of value:
Damage the trudge repeatedly until the clown is almost destroyed and then activate it by pressing the horn three times to trigger an explosion - this will inflict considerable damage on the trudge.

  • Melee weapons with recoil:
Weapons such as the baseball bat make the Trudge easier to handle.

After a knockdown, you can continue to work on him with further melee attacks or scrap lying around as long as he is lying on the ground and cannot defend himself.
