Despite all the hype surrounding GTA 6 and other much-loved Rockstar Games games - the joy only lasts as long as the servers do. So here you can find out how to check the servers and what else might help you.

On the offiziellen Website, the X, and Facebook-Account just like in the Rockstar-Forum kannst du dich über die Server informieren. Während du auf der Webseite prüfen kannst, ob die Server grade are online, offline or limited, you can also use the other pages to find out about current problems, planned maintenance work or the experiences of other users.

Problems connecting to the Rockstar servers

If you cannot identify any server outages but still have problems connecting, the problem could be on your side - in this case, the following steps are advisable:

Check whether your game is up-to-date

Outdated game versions and missing updates can be reasons for connection problems. You should therefore check whether the PC or your console is up to date.

Check PC for updates:

Open the game in the library.
Right-click on the game to open "Properties".
Click on "Mises à jour".
Make sure that the game is set to "Install updates automatically" is set.

Check PlayStation or Xbox for updates

Open the library of your games.
Search for the game and click on"Options".
Click on "Looking for updates" on the PlayStation or "Manage game" → "Downloads" on the Xbox.

Check your connection

Ultimately, however, the problem may also be due to the Internet connection itself. To solve this problem, you should try the following:

Switch off your router.
Wait a few seconds.
Switch the router back on.
Wait 5-10 minutes.
