FC 26: How to achieve the perfect start to the new season

The launch of EA Sports FC 26 is getting closer – high time to take a look at the most important dates and content. Especially the Ultimate Edition is sparking discussion in the community, as it comes with additional bonuses compared to the Standard Edition and is mainly aimed at players who want to go all-in from day one.

More FC Points than ever before

A key argument for the Ultimate Edition is the FC Points. Instead of the usual 4,800 points, buyers will receive a total of 6,000 FC Points this year. Distribution takes place in three stages:

September 19: 2,000 FC Points
October 31: 2,000 FC Points
November 30: 2,000 FC Points

Many fans criticize the staggered distribution, since the points are most valuable at the start – for example, for starter packs or the transfer market. Nevertheless, the overall package offers more points than ever before and gives players a clear long-term advantage.

Exclusive content of the Ultimate Edition

In addition to FC Points, the Ultimate Edition includes other attractive extras:

Early Access from September 19 – one week before the Standard Edition
Icon loan players – legendary stars for limited Ultimate Team matches
Special packs – with exclusive cards and players only for Ultimate buyers
Custom items – e.g. kits, stadium objects or team boosts

This gives pre-orderers noticeable advantages when starting the new season.
To actually make use of all this in the end, you’ll need the right hardware to ensure smooth and controlled gameplay. For true EA FC connoisseurs, only a high-end gaming PC like the Intel Core i5-14600KF will do, which already delivers top performance but can also be configured and customized to your liking if needed.

The roadmap to release

EA Sports has also released a clear schedule:

Approx. September 17: Launch of the Web App – squad planning in the browser
Approx. September 18: Companion App – prepare Ultimate Team on mobile
September 19: Launch of the Ultimate Edition (Early Access)
September 26: Official release of the Standard Edition

The Ultimate Edition of EA FC 26 is clearly aimed at ambitious players. With 6,000 FC Points, exclusive packs and early access, it offers numerous advantages for Ultimate Team fans. While the staggered point distribution causes debate, overall buyers get more value than in previous years.
