Spider-Man 2 released for PC - but without DLC

Both the Spider-Man game released by Insomniac Games in 2018 and the sequel from last year were incredible successes. Aspects such as the smooth gameplay, exciting game mechanics and the more than impressive world building ensured that fans and critics alike were full of praise for the virtual adventures of Miles Morales and Peter Parker.

After Sony previously released the exclusive title God of War: Ragnarök for the PC, it is now Spider-Man 2's turn. However, the DLC that fans have been eagerly awaiting, which was supposed to expand the story post-launch, will not be available.

While the first Spider-Man game received a new, additional DLC campaign entitled "The CIty That Never Sleeps" just one month after its release, the developers at Insomniac Games have now announced that no such expansion is planned for the sequel.

In the course of the announcement that Spider-Man 2 would also be released for the PC, it was made clear that there would be no DLC for it, thus taking the wind out of the sails of all rumours and assumptions.

This was met with negative reactions from fans and players, especially as the second instalment of the series is a comparatively short game, which was surpassed by the first instalment in terms of playing time even without the additional content released for it.
