Stalker 2: System requirements

GSC Games World has adjusted the system requirements for Stalker 2 again shortly before the game's release and some of the figures have seen a considerable jump.

What takes a long time... Fans of the game Stalker from Ukrainian game developer GSC Game World had to wait almost 15 years for the next title in the series. Just one week before the release of Stalker 2, the system requirements were adjusted once again.

Instead of the previously mentioned 150GB of storage space, the game now requires 160Gb. This alone may not be too drastic a development, despite the high figure itself, but the minimum RAM requirement has doubled from 8 to 16GB, turning the "recommended" requirements into the "average" ones.

Here is a list of the various updated system requirements for Stalker 2:

Low (1080p, 30 fps):

CPU: Intel Core i7-7700K or AMD Ryzen 5 1600X
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB, AMD Radeon RX 580 8GB, or Intel Arc A750
RAM: 16GB
Storage space: 160GB SSD

Average (1080p, 60 fps):

CPU: Intel Core i7-9700K or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super / RTX 4060 or AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT
RAM: 16GB
Storage space: 160GB SSD

High (1440p, 60 fps):

CPU: Intel Core i7-11700 or AMD Ryzen 7 5800X
GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti / RTX 4070 or AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT
RAM: 32GB
Storage space: 160GB SSD

Epic (4K, 60+ fps):

CPU: Intel Core i7-13700KF or AMD Ryzen 7 7700X
GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 or AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX
RAM: 32GB
Storage space: 160GB SSD

Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl appears in September

These numbers have caused a bit of concern among fans on X (formerly Twitter) and Steam. However, how the game will actually perform in the end will probably only become clear after its release on November 20.
