Delta Force: Never miss your target again
We'll show you which system settings are necessary and what other tips and tricks there are to improve performance and aim in Delta Force.
Delta Force
In a shooter like Delta Force, few things are more important than accuracy. No matter how ingenious your tactics are, how unsurpassable your strategy and how impregnable your position seems - if you consistently miss the enemy, sooner or later you will be worn down.
Although the game is still relatively new on the market, it is already regarded as a serious competitor to Battlefield and Escape from Tarkov, not least due to the entertaining, large-scale multiplayer battles, the exciting, tricky extraction missions and the immersive solo campaign.
Game settings
To improve your movements and aiming accuracy while keeping your button mapping intuitive and smooth, there are a few settings that we recommend.
In the menu “Game” you can find under “Fight” make appropriate adjustments.
- “Automatic air jump” and “Change weapons using the mouse wheel” deactivate: This allows you to keep control of your weapons and avoid unintentional actions such as a sudden weapon change or automatic climbing.
- “Automatic adjustment of the scope magnification” activate: This prevents you from zooming in when aiming and gives you a wider field of vision, which also reduces recoil.
Keyboard and mouse
- Adjust mouse sensitivity: This depends on the DPI setting. As a rule of thumb, a mouse turn over your pad should enable a 360° rotation.
- Standardise ADS sensitivity type: Set this to “only MDV” and also adjusts this in the vehicle categories, the sensitivity of your mouse remains the same everywhere.
Combat and control
- “Ducking” and “Creep” customise: The default setting for both functions is relatively impractical and should always be changed to a button assignment that suits you.
- If you also assign the shift key with “Peek out left/right” you can easily move in parallel while ducking.
- As the default setting “Targets” on the Shift key, you can press it to “Hold” to still have all the necessary buttons within reach.
Screen and graphics
- “Rotate perspective” Activate on minimap: This will make it easier for you to orientate yourself without first having to find your way around the small map.
- It becomes even clearer if you increase the infantry visibility range to 100 and the aircraft visibility range to the maximum.
- To make settings that are not only practical but also visually appealing, you should (depending on your hardware) set the standard and vehicle field of view to maximum, but leave V-Sync and NVIDIA Fast Sync deactivated.
Gunsmith customisations
- Customise the weapons in the Gunsmith menu to suit your individual playing style.
- Maximises zoom and pupil distance so that targets appear larger and aiming from a distance becomes easier.
- Ubisoft shuts down XDefiant after the game has only been online since May
Of course, these are mainly subjective recommendations, but in the end it is important that you adjust all settings according to your personal preference. However, if you don't have any favourite settings in certain areas or want to try something new, these suggestions from us are the best way to hit the target in Delta Force.
